Experts Frits, Ayrton and Kevin on steel wire ropes

For years, Mennens has supplied steel wire ropes, and everything related to them. From advice and assembly to testing and inspection. Veteran and steel wire rope expert Frits van Boetzelaer, together with product specialist Ayrton Dekker and chief engineering Kevin Poot, talk about the multifaceted and fascinating world of steel wire rope.

Mennens has been building its own cranes since the 1990s. A lot has changed since then - organizationally and in the crane business itself. Project manager Johan Hoekstra and Meindert Wiersma, inspector and service engineer below and above the hook, have been there since day one. They talk about their experiences now and then.

MARTIN BLEIKSLOOT
Long retired and still active within Mennens - for more than 60 years

On September 17, 1962, Martin Bleiksloot started at Mennens as a rigger. Although he has been retired for several years, he still works two days a week in the warehouse and shipping department at Mennens in Rotterdam. He recounts.

Because the companies to whom Mennens supplies lifting and hoisting equipment also often work at height. The now-retired fall protection product manager Jaap Waling was at the forefront of the rollout. Today, as manager of the Safe Site - Powered by Mennens Expertise Center, Dirk van Blijswijk advises and trains organizations in safe working at height and in depth.
