We raise the bar
At Ropetex and Powertex, we don't just talk the talk, we walk the walk. We are actively committed to responsible sourcing and waste reduction as part of our broader efforts to minimise our environmental impact. The use of r-PET materials is one example of how we seek environmentally friendly alternatives. We strive to integrate sustainability into our entire product range. Our approach is structured and based on compliance with our code of conduct, with regular on-site audits and training for suppliers. With these initiatives, we contribute to a more responsible and future-oriented hoisting industry.

Dedicated to improvement
Fact based communication
We believe in fact-based communication about sustainability, not greenwashing. All our more sustainable products come with sustainability information sheets that clearly outline the environmental benefits and improvements. Here you will find the sustainability information sheet for our PRS r-PET round slings as an example.
Audits on compliance with the supplier code of conduct
As part of our sustainability efforts, we regularly conduct audits to assess compliance with our supplier code of conduct, focusing on both environmental and social aspects. These audits include document reviews, thorough on-site inspections and direct dialogue with employees and management. Our auditors evaluate working conditions such as wages, health and safety, breaks, facilities and working hours, in addition to environmental practices within the production process.
Improving performance through training and education
Our local teams provide guidance on sustainability and working conditions to help our manufacturing partners meet our standards. This collaborative approach is delivering results: 93% of manufacturers improve their performance in follow-up audits.
Working together for a smaller carbon footprint
We are committed to improving the sustainability of our products throughout their life cycle. By working with innovative manufacturers, we focus on responsible sourcing, efficient use of materials and products that are easy to repair. Our goal is to extend the life of products, reduce the need for frequent replacements and make decisions that contribute to reducing our carbon footprint. Through these efforts, we are steadily working towards a more sustainable future.
