Cordless drill winch

A cordless drill winch is essentially a hand winch that can also be powered by a pneumatic auxiliary motor, an electrically driven auxiliary motor, a cordless drill, or a cordless screwdriver. The drill or auxiliary motor drives the drum via the winch's shaft holes, allowing loads to be tensioned, pulled, or lifted. Cordless drill winches are suitable for applications where no fixed power supply is available, yet manual operation would be too time-consuming — particularly when greater lifting heights are involved.

Please note: there are limitations on the drill that may be used in terms of rotational speed. The maximum rpm for the (cordless) drill is specified in the winch's user instructions.

Mennens supplies cordless drill winches for professional use. Every hoisting winch carries the CE marking. As an EKH-certified inspection company, we also take care of the inspection and certification of your lifting equipment.

When to choose a cordless drill winch?

A cordless drill winch is the right choice when:

  • No power supply is available — at locations without an electricity grid or in outdoor environments
  • Manual operation is too slow or too labour-intensive — the cordless drill with auxiliary motor delivers considerably more speed than manual operation. Think of winches with a large lifting height
  • Flexibility and mobility are required — compact and ready to take to any location

Advantages of cordless drill winches

  • No fixed power supply required — fully mobile deployment
  • Faster than manual operation — harness the power and speed of your cordless drill
  • Manual backup — still operable via the crank when the battery is depleted
  • Compact and lightweight — easy to transport and store
  • Versatile — suitable for workshop, construction site, and installation engineering

Applications

Cordless drill winches are deployed in situations where mobility and independence from the electricity grid are paramount:

  • Construction sites and installation engineering without a permanent power supply
  • Outdoor locations and fieldwork where no electricity grid is available
  • Workshops and garages for occasional use without fixed wiring
  • Events and temporary set-ups requiring quick assembly and mobility

Inspection and certification

Cordless drill winches deployed as lifting equipment are subject to mandatory inspection in accordance with occupational health and safety legislation. Mennens is an EKH-certified inspection company and handles the inspection, certification, and documentation of your lifting equipment.
