Are you a professional in the (offshore) wind industry looking to meet the international GWO standard? After completing this training, you will be GWO-certified for two years. During the training, you will learn everything you need to know about, among other things, the correct and safe use of vertical access systems and fall protection equipment. You will also learn about rescue and evacuation from height using a centrifugal evacuation device. Your specific work practices are central to the realistic training scenarios.

- Training: GWO Basic Safety Training – Working at Height
- Duration: 16 hours (2 days, including lunch)
- Number of participants: Maximum 6
- Target group: Individuals who work or intend to work in the (offshore) wind industry and wish to comply with the international GWO standard (Global Wind Organisation). The certification meets the requirements of the EWEA, the Dutch Health and Safety Catalogue for Wind Energy and the German BGI567, BGR198 and BGR199.
Programme
- Legislation and regulations regarding working safely at height in the offshore wind sector
- Awareness of fall hazards and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Visual user inspection of various fall protection equipment
- Safe use of various PPE
- Safe use of various vertical systems
- Various practical exercises in rescue from height
- Evacuation from height using a centrifugal evacuation device
Exam
- Practical assessment by the trainer
- Includes a digital certificate (valid for 2 years)
